An Association of Clergymen (Edited by) The Parlor Annual and Christian Family Casket 1846 J.E.D. Comstock 1846 Hard Cover G+ 428 pp. It must be noted here that when the volume was printed and bound, the first four chapters (parts) were placed in the rear, so chapter No. 5 (of the 12 chapters) begins in the front, with the Index appearing in the middle of the volume. The volume is complete, simply arranted out of kilter. There are 24 embellishments, two appearing at the beginning of each chapter - one black and white steel engraving and one of a beautiful water colored plate of a flower, all worthy of framing. Marble siding with leather spine and corners. The volume is tight and sturdy, however the downgrading of its condition is due to the wearing and scuffing of the leather. The title on the spine, however, is quite readable. The top and bottom of the spine is rubbed as well as the corners. The marble siding, however, is clean and clear. Some foxing and staining on fore edge and rear edge pages and some very minor foxing scattered throughout the volume. Scarce title.
